Contact Laura Breece today to judge/conduct your tryout, audition, competition, showcase, or evaluation. In addition to directing many of her own auditions for over 50 musicals, she has judged ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, kickline, pom, hip hop, and dance teams. She is also qualified to judge acro, voice and theatre.
With a degree in Broadcast Journalism and two decades working with choirs, Laura is very comfortable on the microphone. She truly enjoys educating students through their oral evaluations. Creating useful, insightful critiques, paired with solid numbers management and accurate placement is her goal. A good judge maintains consistency, evaluates fairly, sees the details, and backs up their scores with technical knowledge. A responsible adjudicator recognizes the importance of rules, age-appropriate standards, and is not afraid to stand firm on the competition policies.
She has over 20 years of experience on the dance convention and competition circuits, and understands the complexities from both sides of the curtain. She knows what teachers are looking for from judges, and works diligently to benefit all the parties involved.
